About Me

Being Kissed by Lucy Labrador
I was born at a very young age in California, and raised in the Mojave Desert near China Lake Naval Base. The intensely hot climate and chemical testing probably explain a lot. Despite (or perhaps because of) the mind-warping heat, I enjoyed a very happy childhood with my enormous, and enormously awesome, Mormon family.

My large nose spent most of my formative years buried in books. I was pretty certain I was Nancy Drew, and I still harbor a secret fantasy that someday I will solve crime while wearing tasteful clothing and riding in a convertible. I read every mystery novel I could find, which was quite a collection because I was fortunate to live in a home full of them. Eventually, I progressed to Emily Bronte, Dave Barry, and Ann Rule, because Ann is the adult Nancy Drew and I needed Dave to lighten the dark mood set by the other two.

Somewhere along the way, probably in the womb, I developed depression and anxiety, and later massive panic attacks. I do not like to brag, but I have exhibited some impressively intense versions of all, and it makes for some amusing life anecdotes. I am the first and only person to experience these issues, so I decided to become the first and only person to write about them. You will find my blog at number 2,745,482, or somewhere thereabouts, if you Google anything related to mental illness.

   Happy panicking!
